WOW!!! Was 2001 a great year, or what? I think it was the best kamp we've had since the first one back in...??? Anyway, hats off to all those who came and made it such a huge success of fun!!! The spirit of giving and sharing was tremendous! Dinner by everyone! I couldn't believe it. Everyone pitching in to make sure everyone was getting fed, having fun, being a part of it. Nice. Very nice.
So what are we gonna do this year and where? And when??Well, we don't know for sure....yet. What we DO know is that we WILL be shooting potato guns and taking some kind of hike. IT WILL HAPPEN. Probably in the summertime. I guess that's a given. But where...?
There's talk that a new place is possible. Near the old place, but different. We're gonna check it out this spring and see if it will work. We'll keep you posted...
So get those potato guns ready, and buy some mantles (and maybe an extra globe, Jim...), and some rope and twine, and get that tent ready, because there aint much time before VolksKamp 2002 is under way...
