Welcome to HayMan Quarterly Forums, a place for loading and unloading brains! That's right, I said brains. Here, we will talk about trains, games, and cartoon brains, among other things.
As with any public message board, certain guidelines need to be established to help insure that your visit is a friendly, enjoyable experience, and to allow you the most benefit for your time spent here. The Board Administrator will make every effort to maintain a pleasant atmosphere to encourage your continuing participation.
Please take a few minutes to read the following guidelines so you can help us keep the community growing.
General Posting
Please watch your language.
Foul language is generally unacceptable on a public forum, and it is specifically unacceptable on the HayMan Forums. Any words deemed inappropriate by the Administrator will be edited. Since the Administrator does not wish to spend time editing posts, extensive editing will result in a warning being issued. (See below for warning details.)
Flaming, abusive, and derogatory remarks toward other members is highly unacceptable, will not be tolerated, and will result in the post being edited or deleted and a warning will be issued. (See below for warning details.) If you become the victim of such abuse, PLEASE do not take matters into your own hands. Discreetly contact the Forum Administrator and/or Moderators and the matter will be dealt with accordingly.
Guests may view and read topics only. Registration will be required before starting a new topic, posting, replying, or voting in polls. This is an effort to keep out the riff-raff and inappropriate, fly-by-night posts.
The HayMan Forums may get quite specific as time rolls on. Please try to keep your posts on topic with the catagories and sub-catagories.
About Polls
Polls are allowed in only a few of the forums. This is to reduce forum clutter. Please use polls sparingly to avoid such clutter. Registration is required to participate with polls.
Images
HayMan Forums cannot host images yet. You may post images hosted on another website if you know it's URL. Please keep these images small and rare (another effort to reduce forum clutter). Image posting is allowed, however-inappropriate material (obscene, pornographic, gore, etc.) is highly unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Material of this nature will be deleted and the poster will be warned or banned, depending on the circumstances.
Personal avatars are allowed. If you choose to use an avatar, only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 100 pixels, the height no greater than 100 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB. Of course, these must be morally appropriate as well.
Warnings
There are 3 warning levels. Any infraction of the above guidelines will result in a level advancement. On the third infraction, the member will be suspended for 30 days.
At the end of the suspension, the member will be reinstated with full prior posting privileges with one exception: Warning levels will no longer apply. Any further infractions by that member will result in a permanent ban.
A permanent ban will include the following:
- Username
- Email address
- IP address
